The duo exhibition titled “Alba” by Renée Levi and Janiv Oron opened, Wednesday, 14th of September, 2022.
Renée Levi and Janiv Oron’s collaboration reveals the improvisational and spontaneous quality of their works. The effortlessness and fluidity inherent in their works become more visible as their duo presentation resonates in two different all-abstract traditional media; non-figurative painting and music. Spanning nearly 20 rooms across three floors at Akaretler 37-39, collaborated with Bilgili Sanat, this comprehensive exhibition presents examples from nearly the last 25 years of Levi’s work and conceptualizes Levi’s large-scale works, previously displayed at numerous European museums and art institutions, through a new framework thanks to Oron’s space-based compositions.
The duo presentation transforms analogue productions into a late-digital spectacle, that re-defines the works and the space they inhabit as well as the very distinction between digital and analogue, old and new, modern and contemporary.
