The exhibition, curated by Begüm Güney at Akaretler Sıraevler, will be on view between October 7 and November 20, 2021. CANAN, who has been defining herself as a feminist artist since 1998 when she started to produce and who often makes sociological inferences by thinking about gender equality, family and women's issues through her own body, produces in the form of installation, video, photography, sculpture and performance
With 'Hayal-i Alem', CANAN conveys her mythological tales, which she physicalizes as an intuitive creation, by synthesizing intense symbolism and miniature aesthetics. Scent is included in the exhibition for the first time as a fundamental element. Thinking that it will create a stronger connection with each of the senses, CANAN's 'Hayal-i Alem' is accompanied by tales and music in her own voice.
